On November 2, the global cultural community celebrates World Ballet Day. To celebrate the holiday, the “Fall in Love with Russia in Thirty Days” project viewers can enjoy new episodes of video diaries of the Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School 2022 Choreographic Session as part of aVKontakteSpecial Project.
On November 1 and 2, the audience can experience the real world of ballet to see and understand that stepping on a stage is a bright, colorful and fantastic result of many hours of daily hard work, incredible effort, dedication and love for the cause.
The beauty, impulse and sensuality of dance that we see on stage are the result of the work of a huge team: choreographers, artists, costume designers, directors and musicians. Moments on stage turn ballet dancers into idols for the audience, far away from everyday life. The video diaries offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what is behind the effortlessness of the stage and what it is like to go through 30 days of intensive Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School’s Choreography Session 2022.
Boris Eifman, People’s Artist of Russia and choreographer, was the artistic director of the session. Fifteen international dancers and choreographers, guided by experienced ballet masters at the Boris Eifman Dance Academy, experienced Russian culture and its unique characteristics.
The Boris Eifman Dance Academy was the rehearsal site for the Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School Choreographic Session. 15 students from 12 countries came to St. Petersburg this year from Italy, Northern Macedonia, Romania, Mexico, China, India, the Philippines, Argentina and even Senegal.
At the end of their studies, students presented the results of the Choreographic Session on the historic stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre. Young dancers and choreographers participated in the Global Values Festival Gala Concert and shared the stage with the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre dancers.
Video diaries, which became a revelation to viewers and formed the basis of the series «Fall in Love with Russia in 30 Days, were recorded to understand the students better.
The new episodes of Love Russia in Thirty Days are already available on the Premier platform: https://premier.one/show/polyubit-rossiyu-za-tridtsat-dnej. The project was created with the financial support of the Internet Development Institute.
As usual, broadcasts will be available at 19:00 CET.
