On Tuesday, October 11, viewers of the video platform will dive into the magic, mystery and charm of the Urals together with the Urals State Academic Russian Folk Choir under the artistic leadership of Nikolai Zaitsev, a graduate of the Folk Choir Department of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. The Ural State Academic Russian Folk Chorus is an internationally renowned ensemble with its unique creative style and rich traditions, the preserver and successor of the original folk art of the Urals, and laureate of international, all-Union and all-Russian contests.
During the recording, the audience will be introduced to the Tagil paintings, Kaslinsky moldings, and Turin toys, hear the story of strong and faithful love in the songs "Under the window bird cherry ruffles", "The little fish was walking on the sea," will see this youthful prowess in "On a rainy Saturday" and "Youthful Russia." Director Natalia Kungurova conceived the story of a brother and sister who don’t want to be separated, and they run away from the orphanage to find their grandmother. On the way, they meet Nikita, a boy who rides with his mother to the same station as the children. Upon reaching their destination, the children see that the house is ruined and no one has lived there for a long time. There’s nowhere else for kids to go. Will Nikita and his mom help the kids or will they pass by someone else’s misfortune?
The Zero Plus Film Festival selects feature films, animated films, and documentaries from around the world for children, teens, and families, with films about adventure, culture, nature, relationships, and learning.
