The movie was directed by Alexander Melkumov and filmed in Vladivostok and Moscow in collaboration with the Cinema and Photo Research Institute (NIKFI).

On Thursday, September 29 , a historical movie about the Primorsky Regional Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gorky and its main director – People’s Artist of Russia Yefim Zvenyatsky, who has led the theater since 1984, will be shown to the audience. The “Father’s Theater/Drama Kids” was filmed in stereo, creating the effect of presence, the maximum contact between the viewer and the film’s characters. Alexander Melkumov directed and shot the movie with the support of the M. Gorky Film Studio, a branch of the Research Film and Photography Institute. Primorsky Academic Regional Drama Theater named after Maxim Gorky is the oldest theater in Vladivostok, with its audience, history and traditions. It’s an established creative team. The theater began its path on November 3, 1932, with the play “Street of Joy” by N. Zarkhi at the Vladivostok City Drama Theater. In 1975, the theater moved into a new building, where it is located to this day.
In 1984, Efim Zvenyatsky, current theater director, took over. In December 1994, the artistic director was awarded the Honored Worker of Arts of Russia, and in July 2003 – the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation.
