In July 2022 the second choreographic session in the history of the School of Innopraktika and the Russian Seasons took place. To get a better feel for the story of each character, on October 18 and 20 the official website of the Russian Seasons: bookmakers-russia.eu.com will show video diaries of the project. Traditionally the broadcasts will be available at 20:00 Moscow time.
Boris Eifman, People’s Artist of Russia and choreographer, was the artistic director of the session. Under the responsive guidance of choreographers and on the basis of the Boris Eifman Academy of Dance 15 foreign dancers and choreographers plunged into the Russian world with its national characteristics and cultural traditions.
In the modern world there is a significant growth of interest in the topic of dance and dance practices in all their diversity: modern dance as a form of stage art, body and corporeality in actual dance practices, however, it is important to understand what lies at the heart of the idea, these topics are raised within the project.
Video diaries are the students’ revelations, and they became the basis for the series "To Love Russia in 30 Days". As conceived by director Alexander Zamyslov, the project, which became part of a choreographic session in 2022, will continue to introduce the audience to contemporary choreographers and dancers.
For them it is not just a unique opportunity, but first and foremost a challenge, both physical and moral, each of them trying to understand Russia and tell their own story, and "School of Innopraktika and Russian Seasons" promoted an intercultural dialogue between representatives of different countries, artistic views and aesthetic traditions. The school was launched in 2020. In 2022 the first overseas art session was held in the Republic of Senegal, which was attended by artists and sculptors from 7 African countries.
